TX Fast Track was developed by the Bexar County Economic and Community Development Department in 2020 in partnership with the “TX FAME Alamo Chapter,” (Texas Federation of Advanced Manufacturing Education) as a workforce training program designed to address the growing demand for maintenance technicians in the region. Originally known as “TX FAST” (Texas FAME’s Accelerated Skills Training Program), the initiative was rebranded and re-aligned as a stand-alone county workforce training program named “TX Fast Track” in August 2024.
